I learned this the hard way. During a period of constant overtime and irregular sleep, I felt perpetually drained. My plans to read and exercise fell by the wayside, and even small tasks left me exhausted.

My mind felt foggy, and I often zoned out. Eventually, I realized my energy management was off.  I was working hard, but not smart.

To fix this, I adopted a simple routine: work for 40-50 minutes, then take a 5-10 minute break.

During breaks, I’d hydrate, stretch, snack, or listen to music. This allowed my brain and body to recharge. While it seemed like my work time was fragmented, my productivity actually improved.

Life is a marathon, not a sprint. True success isn’t about constant effort but pacing yourself wisely. Temporary setbacks or wins don’t matter—what counts is finishing strong.

When you’re confident and self-assured, you’ll naturally radiate energy.

• Simplify Your Focus: Reduce distractions and concentrate on the task at hand. Sleep when it’s time to sleep, work when it’s time to work. Multitasking doesn’t boost efficiency—it wastes energy. For example, if you think about laundry while washing dishes, you’ll end up with poorly washed dishes and messy clothes. Mental fatigue, more than physical exhaustion, drains your energy. Constantly worrying about the next task keeps your brain in a state of stress, depleting your reserves.
